Legendary label Sino, formerly run by French-Chinese duo Technasia has since its creation in the late nineties enriched its catalogue with contributions from international techno heads, with the likes of John Thomas, Steve Rachmad, Paul Mac to name a few.
In 2010, Aurelien Beaucaine aka Delaze has been in charge of the imprint and managed to maintain the quality standards of the label while giving slots to the local energies. It is now time for Parisian Benales to get on board with an excellent 4 tracker entitled Elements, after a successful contribution on Philippe Petit’s Knotweed Records earlier this year.
Benales has found here the perfect blend of deepness, groove and power. The ep starts with the chords and hats of Element#7, a journey through the brightest vibes of Detroit yet with Benales own functional interpretation. The Element#8 dips us in a darker atmosphere with this cold and almost ultrasonic pad, heavy drum lines and reverberating kicks.
On the flip, Element#9 is catchy by its haunting groovy synth and its perfectly structured clap pattern. Element#10 is closing this piece in a more relaxed mood and a heavy dubtechno influence showing the French prodigy’s wide range of references.
