Following her brilliant remix for Ricardo Garduno’s Signs on Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Columbian DJ and producer Aleja Sanchez delivers a solid EP on the same label. Les Trois Conditions signs her debut in the german label and is yet another demonstration of Aleja’s impressive skills in sound-design. The vinyl release includes three remixes from Deepbass, Takaaki Itoh and Illegal Alien’s curator Ricardo Garduno. Whereas the digital version offers three additional bonus tracks from Aleja.
The original track entitled La force shows Aleja’s attraction for powerful broken rhythms and deep atmospheres. This tune may be, up to date, one of her most achieved creations. Starting with a devastating kick drum and a drony pad, La force will put you in a progressive state of introspective levitation. Different layers of pads will fade in and out in perfect harmony.
Simply brilliant !
Informa Records label boss Deepbass drops the first remix. The Scottish artist is known for his rolling and tunneling touch and delivers here a hypnotical version focused on trippy sub bass and haunting pads.
The second remix is the courtesy of Japanese artist Takaaki Itoh. Following his great release on the last Invite’s choice various artist EP, he’s back with this paradoxical rearrangement of La force putting together bright pads and a dark powerful yet minimalistic acid loop.
Mexican Techno ambassador Ricardo Garduno handles the last remix. A powerful peak-time techno tune that yet keeps the mental element in the background. Snares and acid drones are smartly used to increase the tension.
All in all, Aleja has made a successful debut on Nachtstrom Schallplatten and teamed up with three of the most interesting artists out there for remixes giving birth to a solid and rich release. Highly recommended !
You can catch her in Europe in October where she will make her Tresor debut.
