PODCAST #215 – FUKUMACHI

🎉 To celebrate the first & new episode of 2026, we are proud and delighted to host Georgian dj & producer : FUKUMACHI.

Fukumachi is a Georgian artist born and raised in Tbilisi. His creative path began with painting, where he first learned how to observe, construct, and express ideas visually. Music was always present alongside this process—jazz, hip-hop, and Georgian folk forming an early foundation that shaped his sense of rhythm, emotion, and structure.

Before electronic music, his main focus was guitar. Deeply influenced by jazz and hip-hop at first, a turning point came when he was introduced to flamenco. That encounter changed his relationship with music entirely. Flamenco guitar became a long-term discipline rather than a phase, valued for its emotional honesty, technical depth, and expressive freedom. For Fukumachi, flamenco represents music in its most complete form—direct, demanding, and uncompromising.

His move toward techno was not a strategic choice but a gradual evolution. Starting from house, moving through electro and techno, and later into ambient territories, each step followed naturally from the previous one. Today, he works within a broad spectrum of techno, while continuing to draw from earlier influences—guitar-based music, rhythm-focused genres, and traditional forms that emphasize feeling over categorization.

Fukumachi avoids strict genre labels, viewing them as limitations rather than tools. His sound remains open-ended and exploratory, defined more by intent than by style. Creativity, for him, is shaped by context: people around him, personal relationships, and everyday situations that generate energy and focus.

At 24, Fukumachi continues to develop without urgency or attachment to trends, approaching music with discipline, curiosity, and restraint. His work reflects an ongoing process—one grounded in experience, influence, and a clear refusal to simplify creativity into fixed definitions.
